*****Throughout the novel, 'Airborn', Kate De Vris shows characteristics that assist her in many ways. She is a women who knows how to make things go her way and has a set of skills that stand out extremely. Kate De Vris is brave, and her characteristics prove it. Kate De Vris displays the most bravery in this book because, she can take care of herself, she is a good team member, and she knows how to manipulate people.

*****"All from books,"(Oppel 118). she said, is how she gained her wisdom. that is one way Kate De Vris takes care of herself. she gains knowledge on her own teaching herself things others take long length of time to learn. Kate can travel so far, all by herself that amazes many others : " I was amazed Kate had had the nerve to come so far alone,"(Oppel 208). At one point in this book, she had only one way out: "Drugged! Honestly! you make it sound so extreme! All i did was give her a dose of her own sleeping elixir. Four drops in her water glass before bedtime. Maybe it was eight, i cant remember. No more then eight. What choice did i have! You weren't about to help me. How else was i suppose to get out? She kept the keys clutched in her fist in a death grip. I knew I'd have no chance of wiggling them out unless she was in a good deep sleep"(Oppel 210).

*****From lying to pirates to helping save the Aurora, Kate De Vris helps out her only friends: " I squeezed great globs of the antiseptic ointment into the wound, and then, with Kate's help, started wrapping the leg up in fresh bandages, not to tightly"(Oppel 275). Lying to the pirates with a little help from Matt Cruse was not easy: "My father will be desperate.He was waiting for us in Hawaiis.Mother and I were visting my aunt"(Oppel 242).When pirates take over the Aurora again, that did not stop Kate: " For the next half an hour or so, Kate and I worked along the inside of the hull, opening access hatches and casting off land lines"(Oppel 285). Kate shows team work through out this whole book.

*****Kate De Vris can be very manipulating at times in this novel. When she wants something she gets it: " Fine," she said."i don't want to force you. I can ask Mr.Lunardi.""Mr.Lunardi""Yes, I'm sure he would be delighted to accompany me"(Oppel 148/149). She makes you feel bad and want to come: " You're accompanying me.""No, I'm not. i,m not coming.""Goodbye, then"(Oppel 123). She trys to let people know what she is thinking: " But i didn't see why Bruce had to pick this moment to be all suave and matinee-idolish"(Oppel 211). This is how Kate De Vris manipulates people through out Airborn.

****Kate De Vris displays the most amount of bravery in Airborn because, she does a perfect job at takin care of herself, she is an amazing team player and, she is really good at manipulating other people.

I love reading books about animals and finding out new things about them, I also love to go on an adventure every once in awhile, I am very outgoing. I am an only child, I have no other siblings because of this I don't really see my mother to much as for she thinks I am embarrassing. I can be very stubborn at times when I need to be, if I don't wanna do something i wont do it. I also have this Chaperone named Miss. Simpkins, I really dislike her as for she is really mean and selfish, I absolutely love discovering new animals and exploring where they live and how they can adapted to this day in age. Ok so my BESTFRIEND is my SISTER..its seriously the best thing ever!..we do have our fites but in the end we still sisters and still bestfriends at the end of the day..we love the same music..well some!..nd we hang out everyday..we never get sick of eachother..we play games together..we like the same movies nd well..we both beat on our siblings..lmfao..its really fun livin with yur bestfriend..sometimes we even pick on our dad n mom together lol people always ask if we go out with out eachother..or when they see us by ourselves..theys ask where the other half is..my dad always says we share a brain..its clear who got that smart side..heres a hint..it wasnt me lol.:) we both love to read..nd love to just draw even if we suck we styll say it is goood!..altho she is really good at drawin n im shit..but o well..at least she says its good lol..we also write eachother notes or text eachother when we in the same room!..living with 5 younger siblings not including her..texting her something about one of them amuses us! nd we just laugh n no one knos why its amazing lol!..we sometimes just look at eachother ne know what we are thinkin so we just laugh..nd we are really bad for laughin at something that happened the day before..we just love to laugh nd love to goof round..we are really bad for causing trouble. lol:) put me n trina in a mall..nd alot of shit happenes!

kay so im sittin here in this marketin class..doing nothing..alexis is well beside me n she is very distactiing lmfao she NEVER lets me work..ever..she always takes my books n bullys me ALL the time..i try to tell but she says she will really hurt me..im scared..so i dont tell ne one.. but i tried kids help phone they told me to suck it up..LLMFAO JKJKJKJK but im serious bout her bullying me..lmfao:) man im so bored..so i gotta stay late after school..who does that..o well there is pizza..i dont mind..katrina is bad..she also beats me up wit alexis..its not nice..they take my lunch money..man this class is bullshit..n man lastnight that kid wouldnt leave me alone..ever..! she is also bloggin as i speak lol its my little sister amanda 5th bday today..go her shes FIVE! lol she thinks she is like 454561564 yrs old..so today was an alright day i got like 3 pgs of math homework..n like 3475873 questions to do..this is bull shit.....i got alot of brothers n sisters..
